Michael Atkins, Chairman

Michael AtkinsMichael Atkins is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and was a founding partner of a national Chartered Accounting practice from 1979 to 1987. Since 1987 he has been involved in the executive management of several publicly listed resource companies with operations in Australia, USA, South East Asia, and Africa.

Michael was Managing Director of Claremont Petroleum NL and Beach Petroleum NL during their reconstruction in 1990 and 1991. He continued as a Non-Executive Director until 1995. He was also founding Executive Chairman of Gallery Gold NL in 1998, and remained a Non-Executive Director until 2000. He is currently the Chairman of ASX listed Legend Mining, and Director of Corporate Finance at Patersons Securities.


Dr Steve Hall, Director

Dr Steve HallDr Steve Hall spent nearly 20 years as a senior geologist and geoscience advisor to BP. He developed structural models for the Neptune trend, which are now used as the standard. Steve was instrumental in the predictive studies that resulted in the discovery of the billion-barrel Thunder Horse Field, and the 300 million-barrel Troika field. Steve spent 4 years in charge of geology for Woodside’s international developments, and has advised to CNOOC and Carigali Hess. Steve has recently been senior geological advisor to Talisman International, and instrumental to Talisman’s success in PNG.

Steve has a Doctorate in Structural and Basin Evolution from London University, and a first class honours degree in petroleum geology from Leeds University.


Alan Stevenson, Director

Alan stevensonAlan Stevenson is a Senior Consultant with TMT Partners. He has over 21 years investment banking experience and has been involved in M&A and capital markets transactions with a value in excess of $8 billion. Alan gained his investment banking experience at firms including: HSBC Investment Bank, PwC Corporate Finance, Commonwealth Bank Equities, and Wilson HTM Group.

Alan’s transaction experience includes advising AGL’s syndicate on the acquisition of the Loy Yang A power generation assets for $3.5 billion; advising Commonwealth Bank on the sale of its stake in TransACT; advising Combined Communications on its merger with Cabcharge Australia, valued at $440 million; advising GEC plc on the sale of its Australian operations for $250million. Alan has also done private equity raisings for APV Group, Bullant Technologies, Syrinx Speech Systems and Thakral Group. He has worked on the IPO’s of Cabcharge Australia, Combined Communications, Tigers Realm Coal, and Savcor Group.

Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Natal (South Africa). He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds the designation Chartered Accountant in South Africa.


Pamela Egger, Director

Pamela-Egger Pamela has been a director of Jerico Explorations since its entry to the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2006.  Pamela has served as company secretary, and is Jerico’s architect of the acquisition of Eden Petroleum in Australia, and a chief proponent of the change from a mining company to an oil and gas company.

Pamela is a securities and corporate/commercial lawyer, with years of experience with the British Columbia Securities Commission, Swift Power Corp, PowellDorian Services, and HSBC.


Greg Poleman, President

Greg PolemanGreg Poleman has more than 30 years of experience as a petroleum engineer in charge of drilling and enhanced recovery both in the US and overseas. Greg started his career with Palmer Petroleum in Leon County, Texas. His professional career has been spent with Baker Hughes Inteq, ExxonMobil and Hess. Greg was in charge of drilling for Hess in their Bakken shale program. Greg has recently been in charge of drilling and workovers for the Amromco-First Reserve partnership in Eastern Europe.

Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, and is certified in directional drilling, horizontal drilling, and fracking. He is also certified in a host of contemporary drilling and recovery technologies.


Robert Dempsey, VP Operations

Robert DempseyRobert Dempsey founded Dempsey Well Services Inc. in the early 1980’s. He managed more than one thousand wells in the Pine Island field for Bach Energy, and managed operations for API Well Services in Houston, Texas. He has been manager of operations for both Palmer Petroleum and Red Diamond Oilfield Services. Recently he has been an equity investor in CGS Oilfield Services. Robert has done consulting work for companies ranging from Chesapeake and Marathon, to ExxonMobil. Robert has been certified by Halliburton and Schlumberger for well control, downhole pumping, fracking, well logging, perforating, and mud engineering.


Bruce I. Raben, Advisor

Bruce I. RabenBruce I. Raben is a Founding Partner at Beverly Hills based Hudson Capital Advisors, LLC. He has been head of the CIBC Capital Markets energy lending practice in the U.S., and established the energy group at Jefferies and Company. Bruce started his banking career at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Bruce sits on the Board of EMAK Worldwide Inc., Optical Security Group, and previously served on the Boards of Evercom Inc, Andes Gold Corporation, and was both Director and Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a Member of Audit Committee at Penn Octane Corp. He has also served on the Boards of Central Energy Partners, L.P. and Rio Vista GP LLC.

Bruce did a Masters of Business Administration at Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor of Economics at Vassar College. Bruce is involved in a cross section of charities in the Los Angeles area.
